Makabana Creative Space & Coffee: Work-Chill Out-Collaborate-Connect-Have A Coffee!

In modern times the café for some people is also a place of work, either in solitude, or in a practice that is becoming more common in cities— co-working — where people, often independent, get together to work in the same space as others. There are various forms of co-working and co-working spaces, from dedicated spaces that can be rented by people wishing to co-work aligned to a particular industry, to more informal arrangements such as meet-ups for freelancers organized in cafés via social media.

For those that don’t know what co-working the simplest explanation might be…
“the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge.” Continue reading

I am an ENFJ

This is a loooonnnggg post so I would’nt urge you to read it through to the end.

I’ve taken numerous “personality tests” in the past 3 years. Yesterday, I took a personality test through 16 Personalities. It was free and took about 12 minutes to fill out. To be honest, I was skeptical! I struggled to select an answer on some of the questions because “what about those ‘what if’ situations”!! I was also unsure if they could REALLY tell me ALL about my personality through a simple test… Giiirrlll was I wrong!!

This personality test was SPOT ON, friends!!! It NAILED me – my weaknesses, my strengths, my relationships… it was so accurate that, as the website says, “it was a little bit creepy”!!

Not only was the test interesting to take, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the details about my personality type. I found it VERY informative and helpful! It hit the nail on the head with my weaknesses and also offered constructive advice for how to avoid those pitfalls. It was also reassuring to hear that areas I feel are my strengths, ARE my strengths! I was also able to read about what career paths people with my personality type tend to have, and understand a little bit more about WHY those career paths are beneficial for my personality type.

Goodbye My Little One

Here I am, writing something I never thought I would have to, feeling something I never thought I would feel. Now, I look back on this day with such bittersweet feelings.

No one ever talks about miscarriages. I had no idea how many of my friends had been through this, until it happened to me.
I recently kept the three positive pregnancy tests that had gazed at me each morning for the past six weeks. I don’t know why I didn’t throw them out sooner. Maybe it’s because they were a reminder to me that I was able to get pregnant. Maybe I just wasn’t able to let go of the reminder that I once was. Continue reading
